This is one of South Africa's most significant high-altitude wetland ecosystems and a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.
This remarkable landscape is home to protected wetlands, crystal-clear streams, indigenous grasslands, rare wildflowers and an abundance of birdlife and wildlife that depend on these freshwater systems.
